Importance of Ketu

Importance of Ketu in Astrology:
Rahu and Ketu are planets that have no physical body; these are invisible shadow planets. Where the paths of the Sun and the Moon intersect, those two intersecting points are considered Rahu and Ketu, which are mathematical points located on these chakras. The two places where the path of the Moon intersects the path of the Sun, their northern point is called Rahu and the southern point is called Ketu; these are very sensitive and influential points. Despite not having their own existence, they have a very deep impact on human life.

Shadow Planets:
Ketu is a shadow planet, according to Sage Parashar; it has no aspect or ownership of any zodiac sign, but according to many other great astrologers, it has aspects 5, 7, and 9, and Rahu is considered exalted in Gemini and Ketu exalted in Sagittarius; they always move in a retrograde direction.

Origin of Ketu
Let us talk about some Vedic astrological mysteries about the shadow planet Ketu and how Ketu originated. According to the scriptures, when the nectar came out during the churning of the ocean, a war broke out between the gods and demons as to who would get the nectar. Then Vishnu ji came in the form of Mohini and started feeding the nectar to the gods. Then a demon named Rahu sat in the row by deceit, but the Sun and the Moon saw this and told the whole thing to Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu ji was feeding the nectar to the gods in the form of Mohini. He came in his form and got angry and separated the demon’s head from the body with his Sudarshan Chakra, but the demon had already drunk the nectar, so he became immortal.

Now the head is Rahu and the tail is Ketu; both have become immortal due to drinking the nectar. Those who are called shadow planets are shadow planets, but their shadow has a deep impact on the horoscope of the entire human life. Along with the seven planets, these two shadow planets also have great importance in human life. They are capable of creating turmoil in their lives. Human life is the complete shadow moving picture of these nine planets. As soon as a person is born, the effect of these nine planets is imprinted on their life like a bank passbook that shows how much money is the money of fortune and how much interest is still due. Through these planets, the direction of life is determined by the dasha according to our accumulated karmas.

Eclipse (Grahan) by Ketu
The planet Ketu, which got separated from its body due to the Sun and the Moon and remained only in the torso, has the worst effect on the human mind when Ketu is with the Moon. When Ketu is with the moon, the moon is eclipsed; this eclipse dosha eclipses human life.

This same moon, Ketu, gives very good imagination power but also brings obstacles in achieving good results.
There is unnecessary fear, dread, phobia, delusion, and a suspicious nature. There is a thought of suicide, depression, fluctuations in blood pressure, hormone-related problems, and crying over any matter. The level of concentration is weak, there is a lack of self-confidence, and there is a possibility of diseases like mental illness, epilepsy, hysteria, and migraine. This has a direct effect on the mind, which is why the inauspicious position of Ketu directly affects the mind, due to which the self-confidence also falls.

Due to which man remains in unwanted worries. The native suddenly faces obstacles, the mind remains restless, and he is not able to concentrate on any work or is not able to do it on time; even if he does it, he does it in a hurry. People with Ketu do not trust anyone easily, and it is not easy to understand them. Their character and conduct are not trustworthy because they themselves are delusional and confused. Sometimes they are not able to progress due to their emotionality, blind faith, or dependence on others.
Kalsarp Dosha
When all the planets in the horoscope are on one side between Rahu and Ketu, then Kalsarp Dosh is formed. Different doshas are formed according to the position of Rahu and Ketu in the horoscope. This dosha is of twelve types, and not every dosha has a negative effect, so the dosha should be thoroughly checked, because when a planet comes out of the degrees of Rahu and Ketu, it gets dissolved. Nowadays, many pandits make it a source of their income by scaring the common people. There is not as much trouble in this as is said. Due to this dosha, the person remains mentally disturbed, all his work gets delayed, and there is physical trouble along with financial trouble.
Ketu and Rajyoga
Ketu does not have a brain, which is why it is not able to give its results; it is bound to give results according to the planet with which it is in conjunction, or has a sight, or the constellation in which it is. If Ketu is in a (1,5,9) triangle and is in conjunction with the lord of the (1,4,7,10) center, it definitely forms Rajyog, i.e., Ketu sitting in such a triangle gives good results in its dasha-antardasha. What kind of result will be there in Rajyog depends on whether the planet is in the fifth or ninth house and on the position of the lord of the rest of the center. If Ketu is in the center and is with the Trikonesh (lord of the ninth and fifth), then also a special Rajyog is formed. If Ketu is in the triangle and is with any planet of the center, then also the antardasha of Ketu gives auspicious results in the Mahadasha of that planet. If Ketu is in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house, with the eighth lord or a sinful planet, then these dashas do not give good results. Ketu has no existence on its own, yet it is so important; like all the planets in the horoscope, it can give the result of Rajyog as well as inauspiciousness.
Along with the Rajyog of Ketu, it also gives the result of maraka. If Ketu is with Maraka, it becomes a killer. If it is with Badhakesh, it also gives the result of being an obstacle.
