Friendship of Planets in Astrology: Types & Effects

Friendship of Planets

Friendship of Planets
In Vedic astrology, the friendship of planets is considered from the mutual relations of planets, and it is necessary and accurate to make predictions on this basis only. It is through planets that we can know about the life of a person and Friendship of Planets. These planets give their influence due to auspiciousness and inauspiciousness. All seven planets of the universe have a relationship of being enemies, friends, and equals among themselves.
The most important planets of astrology are Sun, Moon, Mars, and Jupiter as friends because Sun is the king, and he needs Moon as queen, Mars as commander, and Jupiter as advisor, and Moon is a gentle and emotional planet, which also needs the strength of the king for support. Whereas Jupiter would like to walk with his disciple, and Mars cannot ignore the king, queen, and Jupiter. Therefore, these four planets have a relationship of friendship among themselves.
All these Friendship of Planets are divine planets according to Vedic astrology because the Sun is the soul, the Moon is the mind, Mars is the strength/valor, and Jupiter is the follower of policy/rules and religion.
Moon considers Mercury a friend, along with the Sun, because both of them have a father-son relationship. But Mercury does not consider the Moon as a friend because the Moon had cheated his son Mercury and his mother, Tara, and abandoned them. Similarly, Mercury could not forget Moon’s irreligious behavior towards his mother. He felt that he had become a hybrid child due to Moon’s misdeed. Perhaps this is the reason why sociable, intelligent, and well-behaved Mercury considers only the Moon as his enemy.
The same Mercury considers Sun as a friend, but Sun considers Mercury as an equal because Mercury considers Saturn, the tamasic and enemy planet of Sun, as his friend, and Mercury does not have any nature or existence of its own; it becomes the one with whom it lives.
Mercury, Venus, and Saturn—these three planets are friendly planets among themselves. According to Vedic astrology Friendship of Planets, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn are also called Asuri Varga because all these planets are associated with selfishness and happiness and do not believe in religion. Mercury and Venus run after worldly pleasures and wealth, while Saturn lags in following religion due to laziness and inactivity. Friendship of Planets
Enmity of planets
Sun considers Venus and Saturn as its enemies because the Sun is a Satvik and people-loving king. Venus is a bit selfish, greedy for pleasure, and has a lustful nature. Saturn is a recluse, but its tendency towards laziness, inactivity, detachment, and being immersed in sadness does not suit the enthusiastic and hardworking Sun at all, due to which Saturn is the enemy of the Sun.
The Moon planet has no enemy because the Moon is the mind of Kalpurush/Parampita Parmeshwar, and its mind does not know how to discriminate. It considers everyone a friend. No matter how big an atheist someone is, God does not consider them an enemy. One of his names is Samadarshi. Due to this reason, Moon considers those who are hostile towards Moon as equals and never as enemies.
Mars considers Mercury as its enemy because Mercury, being a prince, becomes greedy and selfish, does not please the brave and valiant commander Mars, and considers Mercury timid and cowardly.
Jupiter considers Mercury and Venus as its enemies because Jupiter is knowledge, spirituality, philosophy, and justice. He does not like Mercury’s intelligence, cleverness, and tactful behavior. Satvik Dev Jupiter did not like Mercury’s friendly relationship with greedy Venus. Hence, along with Venus, who is greedy and the agent of wealth, he considered Mercury as his enemy.
Venus considers the Sun and Moon as its enemies. Venus considered the Sun and Moon as its enemies but did not consider Mars as its enemy, because whoever wants to get worldly happiness and prosperity will definitely need courage, valor, and enthusiasm. This is the reason why Venus considers Mars as an equal and not as an enemy.
Saturn considers worldly comforts as an illusion or a sham. It does not like the Sun, Moon, and Mars at all. It considers them as its enemies.
Consideration of Sam/equal planets
The planets that are neither friend nor enemy of any planet should be considered equal to those planets. Mercury is equal to the Sun. Mars, Venus, and Saturn are equal to the Moon, whereas Venus and Saturn are equal to Mars. It considers Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn as equal. Saturn is equal to Jupiter, whereas Jupiter is equal to Saturn, but it considers Venus, Mars, and Jupiter as equal planets.
